Happy New Year

To boost your energy at this time of the year you need healthy high-quality food, and not just good ole safe comfort food. You should always aim to keep your energy levels high, whatever the time of year, by eating regular snacks and meals.

Where does the time go?

Sorry for the prolonged absence but A bit of a Mouthful has been so busy over the summer there has been no time for blogging. Now that autumn has arrived and the pace of life slows a little lets go back in time and finish off the roundup of the iTunes festival in the summer at the Camden Roundhouse. Here’s a selection from the last two weeks of the festival. Rumer and her band love their Indian food so we made them an authentic selection. Katy B was on next , a great act  and she loved the teriyaki tuna & Wasabi mash. Then The Wanted boys who  just loved their burgers and chips & beans! The Swedish House Mafia  were a funky bunch who loved the Thai food we made them! We had a big night with Coldplay and their many guests. It was an awesome show with an amazing band. Veuve Clique champagne all round for this band and a healthy diet with Vegan food a plenty. Noah & The Whale were a great act. We love this band and their music. They loved eating back stage with us so much they are hoping to take us on their next UK tour so watch this space.  Magnetic Man, Example and Chase and Status all really enjoyed eating A bit of a Mouthful’s food backstage and we enjoyed feeding all of them.  Kasbian.  A massive band and a great act. They loved eating back stage with us. A classic British menu and food.   James Morrison is another one of our artists we have worked with before. He’s a lovely man with a  lovely band. And they really love the food and service the get from A bit of a Mouthful.  Finally. Moby. The vegan legend. We made sure we provided him with the very best of contemporary and modern vegan dishes! So the end of iTunes but there’s plenty more of the summer to tell you about so watch this space…

Another week at the iTunes Festival.

The Foo Fighters started a new week at the iTunes Festival at the Camden Roundhouse. It was a massive gig with Brian May, Coldplay and Motley Crew all coming down after T in the Park for a party until the early hours of the morning. A Bit of a Mouthful's veggie food was very popular. The Script were up next. A great band and they were so impressed with the food, they asked Giles to cater a last minute gig in Brighton, which of course he was happy to do as A Bit of a Mouthful is always ready for any eventuality. Midweek saw White Lies and Friendly Fires singing up a storm and enjoying the catering. Sadly, Jessie J was unable to perform with a broken leg but she was well replaced by HardFi, a Kingston based band, which is also where A Bit of a Mouthful, London's premiere catering company, is based. Duran Duran also pulled out to be replaced by the Wombats, a great band and they absolutely loved the vegetarian menu from A Bit of a Mouthful. Next week comes Rumer, Katy B, The Wanted and Coldplay, amongst others, so keep an eye out for the next blog to find out what they all ate.

More from iTunes

Some photos today. Behind the scenes at the iTunes Festival at the Camden Roundhouse. Lunch and dinner menus Giles on the phone, as usual... Lighting rehearsal for the Rumer gig behind the scenes of the ITV2 set where Alexa Chung does her stuff Bands fed in the second week of the festival included The Artic Monkeys, they were a lively bunch, and Bruno Mars, man of the moment, who did an awesome set. They all loved the food. Adele came into say a personal hello and get Giles to wash out her on-stage mug for her throat coat tea. A Bit of A Mouthful catered for Adele on her recent tour and hopefully will again in the autumn, so watch this space. Two newer bands, My Chemical Romance and Glasvegas, also did great sets, fuelled by the great food from A Bit of a Mouthful. More to come, don't go away!
